“This man was a psychiatrist and was working with other psychiatrists every day and they failed to notice how deeply disturbed someone right in their midst was.”
This line resonates for me. People always think someone is crazy or disturbed for committing murder. Sure, murder is terrible, really terrible, fucking tragic honestly, but normal ass people do it. I don’t sympathize with murderers, at all, but I hate when people(specifically Americans) think of the world as being so dichotomous. There are more than just good people and bad people; there is a gray area and murderers, like most people, lie in that gray area.
Still, the entire incident at Fort Hood is quite appalling. A soldier killing fellow soldiers is always tragic to hear about.
